Treating everyone with respect is a legal, commercial and moral imperative. "Respect for People" is a fully measurable diversity training programme which has been written by experts in the diversity field and is introduced by Lord Herman Ouseley, the much respected past Chair of the Commission for Racial Equality.

The 154 page full colour workbook (which acts as a comprehensive reference source after the course is complete) covers six areas of diversity and gives staff an understanding of the main issues and relevant legislation in an entertaining and colourful way. The six areas are:

Organisations who have put their staff through it include ACAS, the Adult Learning Inspectorate, ABN Amro, seven UK universities and a number of local authorities and NHS Trusts.

About ISRM's training package

ISRM's new diversity training package offers a flexible approach to this important area of staff development. The training centres around a 154 page colour workbook, which acts as a comprehensive reference source after the course has finished.

Some employers allow candidates to study the workbook on their own, whilst others work through the package in a group environment. The workbook typically takes 3-4 hours to complete, depending on the candidate's existing knowledge of diversity issues.

Having studied the course material, candidates take either the telephone or online test, both of which consist of 12 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 9. Candidates have two attempts to pass during the assessment window, and are free to use either the telephone or online option for their attempts. Those who successfully complete the assessment will be eligible to receive a full colour professional development certificate.

ISRM processes training applications in multiple batches rather than singly. Therefore the time taken for course organisers or individual candidates to receive their workbooks and course information may vary. Individual candidates are, of course, welcome to apply.

Once a training cycle commences, the course organiser (or individual candidate if a single application) will be sent the appropriate number of workbooks and information regarding start and finish dates of the training. This will give candidates a six-week window within which to study the workbook and complete the assessment.

The "respect for people" diversity training package is priced at £32.00 including VAT per person. If you are booking more than 50 people on this training at one time, please contact ISRM for details of discounted rates. Book now on 01509 226474.
